Where Men Learn To Lead, Love, and Live Boldly

What is Men's Fall Retreat?

Men’s Fall Retreat is a getaway opportunity for men and teenage boys to be encouraged and motivated to live out the life God has called them to. Guys who attend will be inspired to try new things and participate in activities designed just for them. They will be challenged by a community of men to tear down walls, set aside pride and follow Jesus. Our desire is that each man is motivated to return home to invest in his family’s spiritual health, while teenage boys leave knowing what an example of a Godly man looks like.

Teenage boys must attend with a father, grandfather, or mentor.

Speaker Info

Speaker: Chris Kohlman

Bio: Chris is a great picture of what God can do with “the least of these.” He grew up in a rough family environment as the oldest of seven children. His parents unfortunately struggled with addiction which led to a lot of challenges including poverty and constant relocation resulting in always being the “new kid” in every school. He heard through his younger years that “Christians are unenlightened idiots who don’t know their own scriptures.” Despite this he went to church through some of his high school years due to a young lady he was dating, though he didn’t come to follow Jesus through that season. He joined the U.S. Army while in High school and eventually returned home to serve with the Arkansas Army National Guard as well. It was during this time that he began his college career at Arkansas State University, eventually transferring to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. It is here that he met students from a mission training organization who began building a relationship with him which led to him coming to meet Jesus. He immediately left his studies in pre-law to pursue a life of ministry.

Worship Leader Info

Worship Leader: Frankie Shepherd

Bio: Frankie serves as the Worship Leader at Lakeview Church in Cave Springs, AR. Him and his wife Bailey reside in Lowell, AR. They welcomed their first child, Selah Blair, in January 2024. Frankie served on Summer Staff in 2016 as a cabin lead and has a deep love for Camp Siloam. He has a heart and desire for men to lead out the church in singing God’s praises. Frankie is a professional storm chaser and travels the country in the Spring chasing after extreme weather. In the fall, he enjoys officiating high school football and cheering on the Hogs and Chiefs.
